VILLA DIANA

  

 

Having visited many of the Greek Islands over the years, we knew when we decided to invest in a home abroad it would be in Greece!  We were in the process of deciding exactly where in Greece when we visited the beautiful island of Kefalonia, the wonderful beaches and the dramatic mountain scenery made the decision for us!

With the invaluable help and guidance of Stuart and Linda of estate agents Kefalonia4Us we purchased a plot of land in Keramies in 2004.

We began to put together a plan of our ideal villa but unfortunately our first choice of builders turned out to be an unwise one and we encountered a number of delays, as the months dragged on we were losing hope of ever achieving our dreams then the A.E.C. group were recommended to us.

Panagis and the A.E.C. Team listened to the problems we had encountered and immediately set about submitting the required documentation to get things moving.  Plans were approved within weeks and we received detailed pricing for the whole project, including pricing for any optional extra work which could be provided, incidentally the cost quoted remained constant throughout.  A schedule was presented and building commenced in August 2006. 

We were very impressed by Panagis' communication skills from the beginning, he sent us photos of progress of the build every week like clockwork, always accompanied by an account of works carried out that week and planned for the following week. I visited Kefalonia in September to choose floor and wall tiles, kitchen and wardrobe designs, bathroom fittings, roof tiles, lights etc etc there seemed to be an endless round of decisions to be made, but Panagis was always there to offer advice (when asked) and make the whole process enjoyable and stress free.

Villa Diana was completed in February 2007, only six months after building work commenced!  We drove out with our furniture in a van and arranged to meet Panagis at the Villa, where he and another A.E.C. staff member, Fotis showed us around. We were stunned by the high standard of workmanship and attention to detail, having ascertained our intentions for the villa to be used as two apartments sometimes, they had put in many extra features to facilitate this very easily, all within the arranged budget. Fotis visited us several times during the next few days, we found him to be extremely helpful and accommodating, we only had to ask once for any (small) jobs we would like to be done and he arranged for them to be carried out immediately!  We will without doubt be using their services in the future when we have saved up for the pool to be added!

We would have no hesitation in recommending the service provided by Panagis and the A.E.C. Team to anyone, their professionalism throughout has restored our faith in our decision to choose Kefalonia as the location for our beautiful Villa Diana.  Thank you so much for helping us realise our dream!!!
